The rules that keep every chart honest

Counts, not smoothing. Bars and dots are record counts; no interpolation, no heat-smoothing, no modelled fills. A gap is a gap.
A dash is a value. A failed read renders "—", never 0 or "…". Capped lists say they're capped and how they're sorted.
One highlight per chart. The gradient or the pink accent appears once; everything else stays in tints. Tabular figures everywhere numbers stack.
